The Super Bowl is the pinnacle of American football. The prestigious event hosts a fierce competition between the NFC (National Football Conference) and AFC (American Football Conference) champions from the National Football League.
To give you an idea of how popular the Superbowl is, a 30-second advertisement during the broadcast cost companies 5.6 million USD in 2020! The championship game is practically a holiday in the United States.
American Football isn’t just popular in the United States, it’s actually one of the fastest growing sports in the world. Viewership has been on the rise in India ever since the inception of the Elite Football League of India (EFLI).

Kansas City Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs laid claim to the best regular season record at 14-2.
They’re led by the reigning Super Bowl MVP, Patrick Mahomes. He had the second most pass yards (4,740), the fourth most pass touchdowns (38), and the second best quarterback rating in 2020 (82.9).
Also, the Kansas City Chiefs were the odds on favourites to win the 2021 Super Bowl. Betting on the Chiefs to win the league championship is as safe as it gets.
Green Bay Packers
Although they’re not the oddsmakers’ favourites, the Green Bay Packers are believed by many to be the most likely to win the 2021 Superbowl.
With two-time MVP and former Superbowl champion, Aaron Rodgers, leading the charge, it’s tough to bet against them.
As a front runner for the 2020-2021 regular season MVP award, Aaron Rodgers is coming off one of the best seasons of his career. He threw for 4299 yards (7th), 48 touchdowns (1st), and had a quarterback rating of 84.3 (1st).
Buffalo Bills
The Buffalo Bills enjoyed their first AFC division title in 25 years. They also entered the playoffs winning six straight games. This team is hot right now and shows no signs of slowing down.
Still, it remains to be seen if young quarterback, Josh Allen, can keep up his stellar performance as the pressure mounts.
Allen had a fantastic year at quarterback with 4544 pass yards (5th), 37 touchdowns (5th), and an impressive quarterback rating of 81.7 (3rd).
Baltimore Ravens
After slumping to a 6-5 start in 2021, the Baltimore Ravens fought hard to earn the right to compete in the NFL playoffs.
Similar to the Buffalo Bills, the Ravens entered the playoffs on a hot streak, winning their last five games of the regular season.
Revolutionary quarterback, Lamar Jackson, is changing the way the position is played, shattering records for rushing yards as a quarterback. In the 2020 season, he rushed for over 1,000 yards and averaged close to 9 yards per carry.
His passing numbers aren’t as impressive as some of the other top-tier quarterbacks. But, what Jackson lacks in throwing, he more than makes up for with his rushing ability.
As a passer, Lamar Jackson is ranked 22nd in yards (2,757), 12th in touchdowns (26), and has the 7th best quarterback rating (73.7).
Many believe the Ravens are a sneaky sleeper pick to win the Super Bowl.
New Orleans Saints
The New Orleans Saints are one of the most well-rounded teams remaining in the playoffs. With a strong defensive front and offensive line, they typically control the tempo of the game.
Their quarterback, Drew Brees, also has his favorite offensive weapon back on the field in wide receiver Michael Thomas.
The long-time Saints quarterback threw for 2942 yards (20th), 24 touchdowns (17th), and had a quarterback rating of 74.6 (6th).
His regular season statistics aren’t as impressive as they would have been if Bree’s had his full arsenal of targets on the field each week, which begs the question — how much better will he perform now that they’re back?
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a living legend leading their offense down the field. Many consider the quarterback of the Bucs, Tom Brady, to be the greatest of all time.
Brady has an astounding six Super Bowl rings and he’s won the Superbowl MVP four times!
After a shaky start with his new team in 2020, Tom Brady hit his stride. He threw for 4,633 yards (3rd), 40 touchdowns (2nd), and finished with a quarterback rating of 72.8 (9th).
As the oldest player in the NFL at forty-three, Brady might just have another Super Bowl run in that legendary arm of his.
Los Angeles Rams
They say that defense wins championships. If you favor a dominating defense over a high octane offense, then look no further than the LA Rams.
In their first playoff game, they absolutely dominated Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks.
With the Rams suffering from injury problems at the quarterback position, they will have to rely on their defense to get the job done.
Quarterback, Jared Goff, is fully capable of leading the Rams to a victory — especially if their defense performs up to snuff.
Goff struggled with injuries most of the season but is ready to go come game day. He threw for 3,952 yards (14th), 20 touchdowns (19th), and had a quarterback rating of 58.3 (23rd) during the 2020 regular season.
Cleveland Browns (11-5)
Once a laughing stalk of the NFL, the Browns seem determined to bring glory to their faithful fans this year. Unfortunately, history is not on their side.
In seventy-two NFL seasons, the Browns have yet to make a single Superbowl appearance.
Regardless, the Cleveland Browns embarrassed their rival and perennial powerhouse, Pittsburgh Steelers, in the first round of the NFL playoffs. Could this be their year?
At the quarterback position is Baker Mayfield. He chucked the ball for 3,563 yards (18th), 26 touchdowns (12th), and had a quarterback rating of 72.0 — good for 10th overall.
